Happy belated New Year! I have been really busy with renovating and shifting home in the past few months. I cooked. Just didn't post new recipes. Now that the whole family is more or less settled down, I would resume more cooking sessions for the family and continue to post recipes.
In this home, I am fortunate enough to have 2 kitchens - a dry kitchen and a wet kitchen. Due to time constraints, we have been unable to renovate our wet kitchen this time round. It is a 20 year old wet kitchen that I am currently using. This phase 2 renovation would be carried out next year.
Here's sharing in detail the new facility that I have - my new dry kitchen.
Huge Island with Quartz countertop for food preparation. Overhead spotlights for foodie photoshoots. |
Samsung side-by-side doors refrigerator with ice cubes and ice water dispensers. I have another Hitachi side-by-side doors refrigerator in the wet kitchen. |
Simple single bowl Blanco sink and tap. I opted for top mount instead of an under mount sink this time. This would enable flexibility to change to similar size sinks when necessary. I love my simple subway tile backsplash too. When it comes to cleaning and maintenance....easy..... |
Ariston hood. Another of my favorite piece is the Mayer hybrid hob. It is induction cooking on the left and ceramic cooking on the right side. I get to enjoy the best of both worlds. And yes, I have gas cooking at the wet kitchen too. |
Ariston built-in oven and microwave oven. |
To avoid dead corner space wastage, my contractor suggested that I open the corner cabinet doors this way - a simple and brilliant solution for me. |
Simple condiments rack as I do not expect very heavy cooking at the dry kitchen. |
No more hanging of dish cloths over my oven. This time, I installed a proper bar at the island to hang my dish cloths. |
A simple, yet functional dry kitchen. I hope you have enjoyed going through my new stuffs :)
